I have an idea. This would be a rather simple and small map more for the 5 vs 5 ctf games.
Inside the base when you walk through the front door you can either go left to a ramp room of sorts, or you can go right to get to a water entrance. Going left into the ramp room gets you either A) a ramp up to an elevator shaft that takes you to the flag room... or B) a ramp up to the first level respawn which gets you to the flag room as well but it takes you longer to get there. OF WHICH by the way this first level respawn also gains you access to the sniper deck. Oh.. and also... outside is a big bridge between the two bases.

Paper + pencil + scanner + file host = win.
I see what you mean, but if you have time and means to do it, draw it out and show everyone. |

Heh, I remember that Pyro map from TFC, where you had to napalm/IC your way.
Sadly I never finished it, like most skill maps D= |

I have an idea for a 3 team map which ill probably start tommorow. First FF map. 3 forts with a courtyard in the middle split by tunnels similar to well. CTF with all three teams, get the flag bring it back and get points, but cap it at the third teams cap point and get double the points. Simple but fun.

I've always kinda wanted to make a CTF map where both bases are just floating in air, and you get between them via jump pads (which, incidentally, would make heavier classes a lot more effective on O). Recently I thought it might be cool if there were surf-ramp type things below the bases, so you could kinda surf to the back door.

I admit, that it's a trash idea, but why not a map completely underwater?

As in, you dive around? Or as in Rapture?
Diving around (taking away the fact that everyone would drown unless there are air bubbles around) would make SGs extremely overpowered, since you can't throw grenades and can't conc past them. Wait... A Hunted underwater map? Now that is something to consider... |

Oh sorry =D
Rapture is the place where the game BioShock takes place, and it's an underwater city. |

next trash ideas:
1. a map with a really, really big fan at the bottom which pushes everyone up a trigger somewhere could turn it off and the ppl would fall in some really evil hot red uber monsterlava /w burn lv3 screams 2. a map with some gravity control. e.g. flag could be only available with a special gravity. 3. a pretty easy ctf map, but flag would return if a team member touches it. (not a "new" idea but I never played a map like that in ff) 4. imagine a teleporter entrance in the middle of the map and 2 teleporter exits in both bases. if blue pushes the trigger, the teleporter would go to the red base. could be the only way to get the flag or just a good extra route. 5. rats maps are fun, but why not a "godzilla map"? i think i can answer it myself: it's too much work to make thousands of these cute little "tokyo skyscrapers", isn't it? 6. a map with 2 stages. both teams begin at stage 1, they can shoot each other etc. the point is, they have to master a semi-difficult jump for getting to stage 2. the guy who did it can push a trigger which changes the respawn of his team to stage 2. (you can't shoot at someone on a different stage) they try now to master a difficult jump to the flag (touching means points and both teams begin again at stage 1). the team which is still on stage 1 can still try getting to stage 2 and change the respawn for his team (the respawn trigger should be very difficult to defend or not defendable) . the other team would respawn on stage 1 again. i hope someone understands it. 7. "Capture the enemy". one team runs away and one team trys to catch'em. you could give the runners weapons which dont deal dmg, but still have a pushback. 8. a big fat whatever with many hp in the middle of the map. the team which deals most dmg to it (or does the last hit) scores. |

Streetball
A CTF map with one capture point (CP) and one turning point (TP). Flag starts at the CP and the team who gets it must go to the TP to activate the CP for their team. Once the CP is active, the team can capture the flag. If the other team catches the flag, they must get it through the TP to activate the CP for their team. When the flag is captured, the CP is deactivated and the flag respawns on it after a few seconds. The turning point can also be a wide area if neccessary. edit: Just like in street basketball where you have to take the ball halfway back before you can score.
