Yeah they use a MILES codec for sound by default... if you can get another one as a .dll you can use it instead, though. sv_voicecodec <nameofdll> I believe.

that's the thing, i believe you could change the codec in tfc but you were stuck with whatever the default codec is in source games

speex is default in source.
I dont think you can even use the old crappy miles one in it. If it sounds like shit, it's the shitty admin that turned down the quality. Because he's shit. |
