Ah, that might explain it. Mine has not been moved to common. Verifying integrity doesn't prompt it to move, either.

I got it to work. It added Fortress Forever to the gameconfig automatically and all the settings in hammer were set up correctly (the directories)

heres what i did

1. Open SourceSDK
2. "Refresh SDK Content" (because i messed with the gameconfig)
3. "Edit Game Configurations"
4. Click "Add".
5. Type "Fortress Forever" under 'Name'
6. Add the Directory of the Fortress Forever folder. Select 'Ok'
7. Launched Hammer

Yeah, that's how you should always set up new mods for Hammer.

That's how I've always done it, and I have no idea why others said about having to do it manually.

(However, I had to create one as if it ran on MP, then cut-paste the auto-setup config to 2006; and then change directories to run ep1/ rather than orangebox/ vbsp, vvis, vrad, etc; because my new PC had no mods - I only just reinstalled FF a few days ago. :P)

I'd assume it was broken during the SteamPipe transition.

Ofc, never do Refresh SDK Content when you've set up a mod, because it clears it to Valve games only.

Did it? Well, it has been for at least 3 years, because that's when I first explored HL2 mods. :P

I think I remember it not actually adding in the vbsp, vvis, and vrad automatically and you having to type it up yourself, but... Was still there, I believe.

Probably wrong, knowing how bad my memory is.
