Again, you miss my point. You were trying to explain to him that he should have said "What does that mean?" instead of "What that mean?". Contracting "What does" to "What's" made your correction totally ambiguous to someone who did not already know how it was supposed to read. For all rifle knows you could have been telling him he should have said "What is that mean?". "What is" is the thing mostly commonly contracted to "What's", after all.
