Bunny hoping rocks it works on many games next to tfc and quake,
and not only is it faster but u dont walk in a straight line, a fun map to do is merc_bunnyhop u can download it at concs-r-us u do need sparky but it fun If u ask me bunny hopping is a must to know and it really aint that hard to learn. But its wack how at frist u needed to learn to hold the optimal speed and get it fast and now u gotta learn to bunny hop crappy and stay at 140% so u dont drop back at 150% |

Start with a 'glide jump' flick of the mouse - that'll take you to 150% immediately.

I sorta learned bhopping, and thought it was silly, so i stoped. 'Sides, I think the set speeds of the classes gave soemthing to the balance, I accept and like gren jumping, rocket jumping, conc jumping, even napalm jumping (which acutaly works realy well in low g) and they all take a resorce (be it health or grenades or both). I thought the fact that a med or light class could leave a hw in the dust was a good thing. But then again I'm weird, I refuse to script, I use the arrow keys (oh noes not wasd, wtf!!!1!!1!one). And I generaly kicked ass, at very least my average ratio was at least 2:1 on offence without flags.
I too use the arrow keys. My brother used scripts to rocket jump... I always face difficulties with the second grenade type... I cannot fire and prime a conc, nailgren nor EMP at the same time. Now that's a handicap. I tried everything hehe. Sths I manage to pull one off, but pffffff. |

I can't bhop. Once tried to learn, even from demo's.
However that tutorial posted earlier with the flash animation looks a great simple way to learn. I might be tempted to try it in FF. |

jesus, never knew so many people couldnt bhop. I dont have time to use the search function, and obviously arent going to start a new topic, so i was just wondering if there have been any updates on bhopping in FF, i know its not going to be the same, but there will be bhopping, and i dont check the forums very often (once a month perhaps?) so I was just wondering if someone could tell me is that all we know? or are there any more specifics yet?

I think it'll be like this:
- Sorta built-in half automatic jump like in Quake 1 - press and hold space bar before a jump, let go space bar after a jump. - Speed cap, but without slowing down to normal(-ish) speed. |

! IMPORTANT !
LOOK I played TFC for 5 or 6 years and Still currently am and for about 5 years, I couldn't bhop no matter how hard I tried . . . And I figured it out ....it wasn't a lack of skill, or stupidity, (Mabye Stupidity , that's arguble, but probably mostly ignorance) It was my mouse. If you have a WIRELESS mouse than you probably will not be able to bhop b/c of the split second lag time it takes to take signal from mouse to comp...scripts didn't help either. If you want to bhop make sure you got the right equipment.. An optical WIRED mouse! Peace |

no lagg what so ever. and yes i can bunnyhop. still keep on doeing it in other games aswell its hard not doing it in other games. it seems to natural 2 me now. took me a halfyear to master it properly. learned it without a script. but i got bored with the slowdown @ every little hightdeference so now i use the +wait script. works perfectly even duckt jumping |

BHopping and mad-crazy conc jumping and rocket jumping, etc., are the only things that make TFC so fun after all these years. No other game has that type of fun-filled movement.
It's so fun going HW on warpath and getting to CP3 before the enemies scouts even get there and enjoying their suprise to see me already there...Then they die. Many people can do it, few do it well, though. It's definitely essential to learn if you want to be at all competetive. |
