Well, the maps are getting harder and harder. Conc_adam2 for example. Not nearly as difficult as some of the TFC concmaps I've played, but it's getting there. I think I got to jump 8 or 9 and quit.. Some pretty wild jumps on that.
Now that concmap_rax has been released, I think a few more people will start to play FF at least for concing. I'd like to see maps like bison and some of the esad ones built for FF, but as far as I know, public_slots_free(the main ff concing mapper) has lost interest in it, so I don't know. It'd be cool if we could get exist on FF, even if only a straight port. |

FF concing is definitely different, though... the push from it is decidedly spherical and you can get boosts from them in ways and directions that were hard or impossible in TFC.

I think you also have to be more accurate with where you throw your concs. Not saying it takes as much skill as in TFC, but it's certainly not the easiest thing to accomplish sometimes.

You see, that's what I'm talking about. We just need to get some good mappers for FF and I think a lot of the concing community will at least try FF.

ah well, i'm sure crush or someone will let me know if the classic concmaps are re-mapped for FF and Llama can help me learn FF mapping when he has a minute, until then its back to Euroskillz Hard Server for me :P
always, ren p.s. to those who said [ConC] isn't alive, course it is, aslong as it still has active members who wear the tag AND an active leader (Jaxxeh) I don't see how it is dead! ... but thats just me

Refreshing...
It's nice to see that somebody is still concing. I'll download your avi tonight and review it for you.
Xproterg^vi ps - I would gladly map for you guys... just two things holding me back. 1) The HL2 engine provides mappers with the ability to be totally creative in their designs. I'm limited to what you see with the bC_* series, which means that I wouldn't know what to do with the extra potential provided. 2) Lack of experience with FF. pps - What other concers are around these days? |

I play very often conc maps because the low amount of players in servers.
Its long time ago i played a good match in publics its to easy. Not that im that skilled but new people dont have enough skills to stop a bunnyhop/concing scout/medic. I hope really it will come back that kind of server play. |

I don't know about online playing, but I think that I'll be able to hit it up on the lan and demo stuff. I'll start mapping again as soon as I get use to the physics of FF.
BTW - sweet video. Jump combos rule. |

LOL xpro, make sure your first map isnt nearly as hard as one of the bc_cm maps, or they will remain unplayed we need an exist type of map, big juggles. or conc_juggle_esc, cm_vi3 / cm_vi4, etc.. no pre-prime maps yet tbh btw, how is quad in FF? |

laf... Easy map it is. Any creative jump ideas? Don't think that you're getting away from pre-priming & earlyconcing, though. mwahaha |

Yeah, but I haven't bought a cable to hook up my printer yet so I can show you my idea for a nice concjump. Basically, you start in an area, where you conc up and over, start going down, into a hole, concing out, under the location where you spawned, go down again, conc out back under the hole but the distance would be further, conc up, conc up again, then fall into another area with a button, and lasers below it, shoot button, conc back up, conc another time, and you've gotten to the end which requires the button to be pressed in order to open the door to the exit.
I'll try to draw it up in photoshop, but my tablet broke, so I gotta use lots of the line tool... |
