Yea, maybe mix in some grey or even a little vegetation to spruce it up. Looks great though.

Vegetation for greens and grays, darker colored ladders and barrels for browns and some technical equipment red and blue have brought in in their fight over the mystical energies of this ancient civilization should take care of that!

If people are requesting more ambience and feel, you could (rather than adding excessive props, or anything industrial, or vegatation - if you don't want them) try heightening the cliffs, and fiddling with the lighting.
I think if you heighten the cliffs in places and keep the architecture nice and fortress-like where possible it'll be a winning remake. Also with warpath it might be easy to accidentally let players rocket jump etc. into places you don't want them to, so keep in mind invisible borders and put walls/clip brushes in where necessary. Well done so far, the displacements are great. |

I'd like your guys opinion on something, right now I've replaced the ladders with jump pads because I hate ladders. Opinions...?
Also I don't like it when people rudely take health/ammo/etc. from spawn when others need it more. I was planning on putting in regeneration pools rather than backpacks. Opinions...? The theme is set..I've made dozens of textures and models Areas will be clipped off of course, there's actually alot of nooks and cr annies that are fun to get to right now that people might not want clipped off tho! I should explain what I meant about the technological stuff. I'm going to model monitors popping out of crates for the spawns and nearby the capture points that indicate who own's what and which way people should move. Also, at the cp1/5 entrances there will be these sort of ribbon like things hooked to monitors that are the source of the "enemy in our base!" warning. i.e., enemy runs over it and alarm sounds out of it. But I'm definitely open to input on this. The 3D skybox hasn't even been started (won't take long). There will be more cliffs and buildings happening on the outside/high areas of the map. I haven't touched the lighting, (it doesn't take me long). I just needed to be able to see the map! Quote:

Jump pads don't work very well for ladders either unless they are far enough away and push you up at an angle...

HL1/source engine game are the only games to ever have good ladders. They're the most robust/elegant solution.
That's right, I just used robust, elegant and solution in the same sentance. WTF are y'all gonna do about it?
