edit: I can't imagine going back to using space.. that's my special now (blow up pipes etc). If the wheel must go I will probably use mouse2, but then I have to find a place for me gren1! |

I'm like Otiz. I have my wheel bound to jump, and in TFC I use fastswitch, so I can just click 5 and have my rocket launcher out. Don't take away my wheel!

Please don't dumb bunnyhopping down too much, just to cater the masses. TFC isn't a game for the masses, we have CS to cater the generic crowd.
In my opinion movement in TFC was PERFECT. It's fast, it's exact, it's linear, just absolutely perfected for climbing\concing\rocketing. And I honestly do hope FF won't deviate (take the skill out) too much. Where it comes down to, is wether or not we'll be able to do the things we could do in TFC (maneuver in EXACT precision from ledge to ledge, in climb maps for example). |

You could certainly use the mousewheel to jump, that would just be odd for aiming in general, if there was no other advantage to using the wheel. By all means. .

Sorry, why would it be weird for aiming?

It's weird in general because you are using that hand to aim. The less you do with your mouse hand beyond aiming and firing the better. Do you use your middle finger on the wheel or do you slide your index finger over?

Of course I use my middle man!
Then my thumb on mouse4 for gren2 and another finger mouse2 gren1. I play mostly DM medic and I have a decent aim so... isn't weird at all fro me. By the way I have a MX510. |

ekiM is right. The idea is to even the playing field and make everything in the game available out of the box. No obscure scripts or deep knowledge of the game/community required to learn the various techniques.
