I don't mean to be hostile about any of this at all. I just hate that one of my favorite places to visit has became one of my least favorite due to poor navigation. I think it was a poor choice to switch without atleast using another theme. Don't give me the "Its only been up for one day!" garbage. It doesn't take five minutes to upload another theme that would atleast serve as a better temp theme. I've been here for a little over a year and up until now there wasn't a problem. But I guess phpBB is just soo bad right? |

If someone offered me something better than what I currently have, I'd take it. If its that bad, just turn the computer off for a day or two and then come back. Things should be getting back to normal by then since I can already see the cosmetic changes being made. I'm not trying to be one of those guys that says "Then just leave!" but putting up with an inferior layout for a couple days doesn't seem so bad when you consider how much better things will be around here.

If it shows up in a few days thats great. But it took a very long time to finally get a default theme for phpBB. I finally started getting used to the newer theme there and now I have to put up with this.
Right now all I'm see is instability. How about we stick to something? I figure I'm coming off alot more hostile than I actually am. I really just don't want to put up with this theme for two or three months because someone made an extremely bad decision. |

As ugly as the current skin is it really doesnt bother me. I dont know where this navigating problem comes in, other than having to scroll to the top(ZOMG!) to go back to the forum.

Well I know in my case, when I start making changes to a website, I usually keep working until I'm finished (unless its a huge project). I don't think they'd make forum changes without making sure everything looks good and works properly.
I could be wrong though since I'm pretty sure (like 92% sure) its not actually ME working on the forum. |

Holy crap that is sad sobe...
You realise not everyone is you? The skin is as good as default phpbb skin to me. Posts do get marked as read (maybe try clearing your cache). It's pretty obvious which havent been read when the titles are bold or just use "new posts". See the "Page 2 of 2 < 1 2" thing after the last post and above the first? Surprise, that changes pages... Seems like you just can't handle change. |

I've noticed that occasionally if you jump from a thread back to the main page it will say you have unread posts, and then if you go to check all the threads will be read. If you jump from a thread, to the category, to the main board, you'll be fine.

edit: yeah im pretty sure that's the problem, the imported db stuff is being all weird, just mark all as read and it should be fixed |

That's a new problem actually. It was working fine before, but now every thread from yesterday on is marked unread. Easy fix.

MAYBE THE RELEASE OF FF IS NEAR!?!?!?!
<not all caps> Edit: Why does it say FortressForverPURPLE at the top? Its kinda easy to tell the posts. If theres no papers in the envelope, then theres no new posts in it, and if the envelope is red, that means its getting alot of posts and in the main list, if the clipboard is gray, then theres no new posts there. |

I also do not understand how these boards are now "harder to navigate." It looks about 99% identical to every forum I've ever been on (basic feature wise.)
As far as the icons denoting which posts your have read and which you have not, I was unaware anyone even needed that feature in order to know which posts they have read and which they haven't. I always browse this forum not-logged in, then only log in if I am going to post, so I guess I am just used to not using it. |

I was ok with the Devs changing some aspects of TFC, but changing my forum requires extreme acts of retribution!
