Yeah. I was a nerd, and probably still am, but hitting people with my ultra ductape foam warhammer and having a bastard sword in the other just doesn't speak to how awesome it felt to pwn people on the battlefield right next to a busy street where I'm sure lots of people laughed. It was fun. This guy who is literally a martial arts expert uses these small daggers and just goes apeshit on everything, super sayian fast... I remember some kid hit me in the face with a sword, which is against the rules, so he's liek r u ok? and I'm liek, yea, just a flesh wound, and bashed him with my sword. It's hella fun until you realize it's freezing outside and it starts raining. Then you hope to god you never get hit in the back.

As a practical matter I have to wonder how much an oversized hammed like that ever saw use outside of the movies. Seems to me that a smaller framed opponent with an agility oriented weapon would finish the oversized weapon wielder pretty quickly.
