OKay, so you want more team textures? Well, you will get it.

But about the concjumping thing, I don't think my map is that type of map, wanna conc go play a concmap if you want.

Haha

But there is one good area for concing and it is the canal in the underground.
Concing may be fun to do but I want to really see, if this map is good enough for the
snipers. I dont know if this map is OK for all classes but anyway the soldier, demoman and medic may find this map lovely.

I just wanna say one thing, this map is big.

I'm with Kam. There have been attempts to helpfully criticise the layout, but it seems some ppls ideas of what makes a good fortress map are v different...

"But about the concjumping thing, I don't think my map is that type of map, wanna conc go play a concmap if you want."

Is this a joke or not? Hard to tell after seeing the map.

"But there is one good area for concing and it is the canal in the underground.
Concing may be fun to do but I want to really see, if this map is good enough for the snipers."

Ummm, how is the canal good for concing please? I don't understand. But yes, I agree, the snipers are the most important bit!! /:

"I just wanna say one thing, this map is big."

I dno, it's not that big is it? The inside looks pretty small to me, and the outside is small to medium for most current TF maps.

Be with kam. Oh when did you actually criticised my layout? It seems like my map have an original sniperdeck.

The concjumpin thing, can wait. It is not well and not rock2 to fly around. Still can do in the yard of amped.

What joke? Joke that my map looks like it does like?

Yeh, snipers are fun and sniping too.

This map is big, I tested it with gingerlord one day, I got the feeling that it was huge and im not goin say it is cramped, cuz its not.

Dont like this map still,? Oh well, go play other FF maps when they are releast.

Ambex, I think you're getting a bit defensive, and that's really uncalled for.

If you didn't want some honest (and perhaps not so honest -- it is the internet after all ) criticisms, then you shouldn't have posted your map for people to look at and comment upon. While you may be correct and your map is all that you think it is, not everyone will agree with you... just as I believe you've posted elsewhere in other map threads that you don't necessarily think those maps are all that good looking or need changes or have horrid gameplay issues or whatever.

Please take the thoughts of those who take time to post their ideas and critiques as they were intended, to improve on your map and mapping skills, then incorporate them or not as you see fit.

Going into defensive mode is not going to do anything but engender more "negative feedback" (for lack of a better term). So I'm suggesting you silently accept that some will like your map, some won't. After FF is out you'll know if you've done things properly as to looks and gameplay.

Note: If you don't want any more feedback we (the mods) can lock this thread.

Oh delightful. These unofficial maps by everyone are impressive i must say.

I don't want to be negative but still needs a touch more team colour. Whether it be with a few more lights or a strip on the walls i don't know, it's your map. I'm sure you will come up with something.
Don't go over the top though Looks really nice as it is anyway.

He has team coloured it, the thing is the lighting is not bring enough to actually see it properly. So the lighting needs to be brighter to seee the team colour more clearly, keep it a soft colour though.

And that is why Paft Dunk pointed out that it needs more team colouring.

Anyway, it looks a little better as it doesn't look so bland and monotonous.

The yellow paint in this screenshot would look good red instead of yellow (or blue in blue base)

I still wanna download a version of this map with all the txtures in it.

I need help with the map editor.

I used the grid before without any problems but now it doesnt work properly as a grid.

When I drag a block in the grid, the grid, it ignores the 16, 32, 64 units and I can drag the block between the grid units freely.
Before It was like automatically by itself.

Why does this happen and is there any explanation for this and help please!

You need to turn 'Snap to Grid' back on. It is in one of the drop down menus [in 'View' I think], can't be arsed to check.

Yeah, it very clearly says "Snap: Off Grid" at the bottom right there.
