Yeah, they're all very good singles. Like I said though, its the way that they sit with the other, less structured, tracks on the album that make it so great.
You're right in saying that there's a lot more to Oasis than Wonderwall as well. Its a decent enough song, but there's plenty of better tracks on the first three albums. I'm listening to Definitely Maybe at the moment for the first time in years. Its still a really decent album and it has a really raw energy to it that you don't get with their subsequent stuff. I was a little too young to understand this stuff properly when it first came out, but I can see why they were so successful. There's an exciting, rocking, confident, swagger about them. |
