So this map is based on midair_r2 for TFC right? Like the first pic you have shown right?
Well what I could see from the pics, the platform in the original one seem wider than your version. So are you making the platform wider?

its not a score board, its a speed meter, that water will be turned into an airshot meter, but that is an intresting thing that just gave an idea, Tiger, u wanna think about that?

Right now it is a speed meter. However, upon FF's release, I plan to modify it so it displays like an airshot meter (it would calculate the height at which the player was airshot).

Hmm, don't think so. The game play will remain the same as the original midair2_r2. The only thing that has changed is its surroundings (civilian spectator lobby, air shot meter, and the lovely environment). These huge changes won't affect the game play (it is a plain platform death match arena after all), but only beautiful .

I like the look of this arena a lot. I dont care for the beams that go up around the platform due to trying to do airshots.. I like the open air look for maps like these. Granted it looks good, but I feel it doesnt fit.

The original map is THREE brushes?? You should have every right in the world to rename this map to your liking. You outdid the original author ten-fold.

Perhaps, Tiger, you could rename it mulch_dm as it plays as mulch_dm would... (if you disregard any rules)

Just call it midair because there is no other midair dm map out for Fortress Forever, or so we believe. But, thinking about it, BINGO-BANGO is making midair2, so...

The platform is the same size, and if it is slightly changed (by a few grids), it doesn't really matter, it is a wider platform that midair2.

So hows progress? I'll be working on it this Friday, I promise. Things I have in mind:

- redo the current rounded roof that I have, does not add or take anything from the map and isn't really necessary

- rethink the 3dskybox, going for a city-sand-beach theme possibly, and if it doesn't look very good, possibly just mountains with trees, we'll see

- a new 2dskybox

- a more vivid/brighter red metal trim texture

- add the trigger hurts

- add some player clipping on platform and around it so it feels like midair2_r2, so not need to cry about how it won't play like it when only its surrounding has changed to not look repugnant

- not change the map, as it is _r2 and not midair2 (people, total different sizes) and since no one has ported the _r2 - wait I just did, so its staying that name
