I would strongly recommend against toying around with your registry on your own.
A program I use to help maintain my computers is CCleaner. Running it will clear out Windows & browser temp. files, among other things. You, of course, can choose what you want to clean out in the event that you don't want to erase your browser history/cache each time you run it. You can also scan for registry issues that it'll fix. I'm not doing it justice with my explanation. I noticed a slight performance increase after using it, and I maintain my systems well. There'll be a lot to be cleaned up in your registry after removing all the bloatware. |

Also, use cleanup (google it, I'm lazy) it's a small program that deletes ALL the crap of your hdd when you run it. I've freed up 8 Gigs after 5 runs in 2 weeks!
Oh and please use NOD32, AVG fecks up so much (especially outlook), and believe me I know, I work at an internet helpdesk! |
