lol yeah I'm definitely thinking it was my computer...I gave it to zip (82694) to compile, and it took 12min...

i also experiencied insane compiling times, when i use func_detail in a lot of stuff it decreased from 3 hours to 5 min!

VMPI is a good way to reduce compile times by using multiple machines. I can contribute 7 CPUs to compiling a map if need be.

I gotta play with vmpi. After I get my new computer, I'll have about 8 cores and 8 gigs of ram between all the computers in my house to compile with.
