I don't think there's any call to be so rude to any other mods, Fortress or othewise.

While I was never that much of a Quake-fortresser, I did enjoy a spell with Q3F. It had a level of polish that put TFC to shame quite frankly. It certainly deserved to do better than it did, imo.

Still, whether Quake-style TF is your thing or not, there's no call to wish misfortune or childishly flame in that manner.

Q3F/ETF weren't all that close to qwtf to be honest. Ask some old qwtf guys, it was similar, but not the same game.

personally i would have played q3f or etf if they were as popular as tfc was at one time but due to the small player base i stuck with TFC. I think that tfc was more popular only for the fact that TFC was commercially advertised more I.E. on the box of Hl1 and on steam and on serrias website not to mention hl was a way more popular game then q3 but thats just my speculation.

ya, i palyed half a dozen pugs in etf and it was 6 sols a demo and hw every time
was good fun...........

air acceleration doesn't seem as quick to be honest, the bunnyhopping looks good, but the game doesn't feel 'quick'.

The rocket speed on the new video is perfect. That's what I'd like to see in FF.

agreed, I wish them all the best. I come from a time before there was half life, a time when fortress spawned, that is to say, when it was originated on quake.

If i recall when i was playing a lot of Q3F, there was another mod that had a pissing contest with. they had sentry guns on the walls etc, but it never stuck (no pun) taunting is one thing, but flaming is another, keep them to yourselves

As far as the vids go, the mod shows great promise, gave me a feel of Q3F (not sure if thats a good thing by their standards) but felt that they could take advantage of the engine more. But I think that the community will have at that engine for sure. I will definatly have this one, besides, i need a good reason to re-install Q4

I actually don't think that, and infact I hope it does very well. Its quite possibly where I will spend the majority of my computer hours for the next few years at least.
