A couple months ago i lost my first cat. She wasnt very old, only 9, she had breathing and heart problems arise one day, and died while the vet was trying to help her. I still have 1 bigass fat cat that loafs around all day, and a kitten that has ADHD.. if thats possible for cats
I also had a hamster for a year a few years back, he died cause he sleeped in his poop thingy too much i think, i burried him in the back yard flower garden... I miss my cat, she was a good kitty, she liked to sit on my lap. my other cat, the fat one, doesnt really like me that much, and the kitten just runs around all day, so shes no fun. My grandparents' dog was put down a few days ago... he's been going downhill for the past few years, and when they took him to the bet just a few days ago they realized that the lumps building up around his ears were cancer. It was a sad day, especially for everyone living with my grandparents at the time.
I don't wanna think of what'll happen when my dog dies.

losing a dog sucks. you get attached to a pet like 10X more then your best human friend.
i had a dog when i was a kid. they say that dogs reflects the personality of his host... my dog was really stupid O_o but i loved the bastard and it took me a while to get over it after he was hit by a car. he survived for a couple of days but it was hopeless. we had to put him down. that was my last pet. |

I disagree, I can't imagine ever getting attatched to something that can't speak, laugh etc. more then my best friends.

That's the point. He can't speak but you know he understands every single fucking word. + a dog will never let you down. He'll stick up to you even if it'll cost him his life.
Depends on the host to though. Some like animals, some don't. Some animals don't like man |

A dog won't take a bullet for me, 'cause it won't know what's going on. And I don't know he understands every word, because he's a dog.
My best friend on the other hand, does understand every word I say, while we jam together and play Xbox and smoke pot. No dog's gonna do that. |

I think you are putting too much faith in the intelligence of something that doesnt even have an IQ to match that of a retarted person.

I think you are puting to much weight into the importance of IQ. Besides, IQ test doesn't test your "intellegence" but "intellectual level".
If you wonder what's the difference, i'll make it simple. Intellegent person can't be an asshole where a person with "highly developed intellect" can be anything you want. Both are smart mm'kay? But there's difference. One is smart and the other is "wise". If you wonder what's the difference.. bleh forget it. Anyway, you don't get a dog to discuss your latest acquired CPU and brag about your 3dmark score. Last edited by o_mescalito; 04-15-2006 at 08:23 PM. |

My condolences. I still hate to contemplate what I'd do without my doggie.
I'll post a picture of her later if I can. she's a pug/pekingese mix. |

On a related note. I was house sitting for my girlfriend today. I walk in to discover that the cat has eaten the hamster and her beta fish! I think I'll break the news to her when she gets home on tuesday.

What you're saying then, that there is no difference (for you maybe?) between someone who you would call intellegent and someone you would call "an intellectual" as there is no difference between someone who is "gulity" (or not) and another which the court determined that "he did the crime" (or not)? maybe we even have a language barrier here cuz you can't call a person "an intellectual" in english? |
