i dunno the gameplay seems kind of repetetive(from the videos, haven't played the demo tho) and it not having a multiplayer makes me not want to buy it

no way is a single player only game worth $60. i think the last single player i barely even made it 1/2 way through before getting bored was hl1. hl2 was prolly even less because of the load times...i'm guessing a 1/4 at most.

either torrent, steam crack or not even bother. leaning towards not even bother.

I'm not a huge fan of single player games but I LOVED HL2. Even though the loading was a huge PITA.

I backup the gcfs onto either my second hard drive or my file server. When I have to reinstall windows I just copy them back in place and I'm all done in a few minutes. Heck, it's probably faster than installing from disc and a heck of a lot easier since I won't have to worry about finding the discs and entering in a cd key.

I've been doing this for years now with TFC. I also have my TFC game directory backed up so when I do reinstall all I have to do is copy that back to it's place and all my TFC settings/binds/custom models/sounds are all restored.

i dont think my videocard can run it (x850, no sm3), but I might rent it for 360 whenever I get it back from the repair center

unforunately you won't be able to play the demo downloaded via fileplanet till 7pm est tonight. I've never seen a pre-load for a demo before. Honestly, if the fricken thing is sitting on my HD now why won't they let me play it?
