All of this teamwork based gameplay might be nice for clan battles, but do the really expect it to work in pubs? For haven's sake I remember in the earlier days of TFC it wasn't uncommon in friendly fire servers for somebody on your team to kill you in your own base if you had the enemy flag so that they could steal your cap. Most pubbers have and always will care more about their personal k/d ratio than teamwork. Just look at CS Source.

You know what's less constructive than discussing/praising/complaining about a game that's not out yet? Complaining about people complaining about the game.

I expect Valve will (like the FF team) release gameplay tweaks that the public generally agrees upon, right guys? :P I don't think Valve will be as open to it, though, since they seem very reticent about gameplay specifics, unlike the FF team which actually discusses with the community! For instance, I have no idea what a "sapper charge" means or how it affects the gameplay. Does remove the spy cloak? How does the spy cloak even work? Is it instant, does it go away the faster the player moves, what causes a spy to uncloak, can a spy uncloak into an enemy disguise, etc.

Anyway, this is more idle bitching than serious flipping out, in the same vein as idle praising when those folks have never played it either.

Thank you for being clear with your statement.

True, it is these people's jobs to make the game. These are the same people who did things like put in teleporters and remove the sniper charge bar (but not the charge).

TF2 is being made professionally while FF is being made expertly.

Uh though, actually, Defrag: I thought you were almost done with college for a degree in game design? Would that not make you a professional?

I really, really, really hope the medic invincibility is only once per spawn, otherwise it will be a problem. S=
Wow, you guys write coca-cola. I thoght that was only in Brazil.
Isn't it named Coke in the U.S?

Ihmhi writes coca-cola, the rest of us call it coke. It's technically called coca-cola but nobody says that.

Oh, I say coca-cola
Coke seems so....simple. It isn't enough for the almighty Coca-cola.

It's pop in Canada. I was in Florida and asked for pop... got the funniest looks in the world. Apparently Americans don't have such a word in their vocabulary.

I'm sorry, but there's a difference between professional, experience, contracted game programmers and college/college graduate hobbyists. A degree in game design or programming doesn't make someone a good designer or programmer. It shows that they at least know what they're doing, and generally people will be at least decent at it after a degree in it. However, you can't use that alone to justify someone being a professional.

As has been said countless times: FF is a volunteer project. The budget has probably hit about $10k over the past two years, while most other PROFESSIONAL projects hit that each month.

TF2 and FF are different games. Just stop whining about them ffs -.-.

French: Down south it's called "coke/soda." Up here in the northern regions we call it pop.

I've been teamkilled on non friendly-fire servers by soldiers shooting me up in nice open spaces. Or places with big ceilings. I was never able to grab that flag from our spawn in castleargh3....

It's pop throughout the midwest and some of the southwest, soda in the northeast/far south, and God knows what California calls it.

Some places call all carbonated beverages "Coke." What the hell.

And what's ROOT BEER? I always hear that in movies. By context I guess it's just regular soda/pop/coke?

Friendly fire servers on tf2 will be freakin awesome if you can be medic and shoot your HW guy and then heal him until your gauge is filled up then go out invincible.

Root beer is a soda that was invented by Linus Torvalds.

In the south, generally, every time of soda is called "coke" it is so annoying.
Server: What would you like a coke with that?
Customer: Sure
Server: What kind?
Customer: COKE!!

lol, see it is annoying
