Wow Circ, way to flame off-topic..

Anyhow, I was pondering about the pirate thing... why would anyone make a map where pirates have rocket launchers, crowbars and the AC? I could see a map where a player model(werewolf or something) or some NPC models(zombies) are changed or something, but if you get whole new model sets or something, isn't that a mod?

The reason for the pirate was because this whole topic was a joke

And actually Half life did have a mod with vampires vs vampire slayers. It was kinda neat but died off quick.

I don't think it died off, it was never THAT popular. I checked bout 5 minutes ago and there were 7 servers, 4 of them empty. I used to play it but I sucked so incredibly bad. As a vamp, I could never actually land a slash on the slayers so I just jumped around and looked stupid.

And if the civ is gonna be Steven Seagal, he's gotta at least be able to do some corny karate moves that come close but never connect to the opponents face. Well, I can see both a huge advantage but also a major disadvantage using the Steven Seagall model:

Advantage: No facial animations necessary. Actually, no animation at all! (the SS school of acting model)

Disadvantage: No one could ever hit him
