Fair point about the journals, but you have to understand that there's only so much you can say that's vaguely interesting at times. For example, I've been working on spirit, push and bases intermittently. There's not much else to say at the moment on my part. Nothing worth reading, anyway.

The media is something we can't guarantee, especially because of recent developments (good developments, I may add).

i'd be happy if at least we had an update with the definitive word about the new devs. afaik there hasn't been an exhaustive list of who new is in and what positions have been filled. it's kind of hard to keep track of everyone - i just connected to #fortressforever and a certain |404|8Ball is mentioned.

There will be an update like this very soon

(btw, the 8Ball thing is a joke - perhaps I should remove that from the topic now hehe)

LMAO, i dont see how this thread has anything to do with begging for updates...My idea about journals(and dont you dare consider a journal an update) is to use them effectively so that each dev. team member doesnt spend much time on journals, while keeping the restless audiences happy until an update. This thread is infact trying to solve the threads that are titled somethin like this..."umm where's the update?!?" So again, this isnt a thread asking for more updates at a quicker pace. I'm just saying if the dev team went out of their way just a little bit(30 min a month for each member), it'd please a ton of the restless crowd. That is all i'm saying.

PS: If you arent part of the restless crowd, good for you

NOW PLEASE STOP WRITTING, OMG CALM DOWN THERE GOING TO GET AN UPDATE HERE SHORTLY. Because again I could care less I'm just tired of seeing the pleading threads for updates.

I for one am going to try and make it a point to update my jornal weekly, but like Defrag said not sure if it's gonna make an interesting read to be honest... I mean was my first journal interesting lol?

even though you didn't state any very important fact it's still nice to see what's going on behind the scenes.. even trivial facts are ok to read, the community gets to know (a little) in whose hands this mod is

I'm sure if you try real hard, sabre, that you can get your point across without having to flame.

LMAO, just write to me if you have some beef with me. This thread was never meant to be a complaint. Just an idea of how to use other sources then just updates to keep the audience happy. If you dislike the idea, then say you dont like it. That is fine. I have no clue why you'd like to flame me though.

Here's my beef, what i can't stand is when i give an idea of how the dev. team may use journals to calm the "Where's an update" masses, and in return i receive a ton of responses saying "be patient, the update is coming." I'm still trying to figure out if half the people that responded read my idea?!?

I sure did. We now know that textures are being work on. It doesn't matter that it's interesting as long as we get something but not really a priority

Except that your idea was written in a way that suggests impatience. If someone is going to stop following a mod because a monthlong media drought, they weren't going to follow a mod far anyway.

It's like those people who come onto mod forums and start asking where they can download it when the last media update was an unskinned render of an AK.

That hasn't happened here, but it happens alot elsewhere.

I'm just angry at those people.

Go away.
