I used to worry about that too, and for some reason something clicked in my head and started calling her 'love' and told her why of course, especially considering she had a bf at that point. Since then I really haven't worried about it. Sure there's been a couple of times where people have thought I was her boyfriend (happens most often when I'm paying for something that time), but it happens far less often than you'd think.
