I am doing well........
but you can always be doing better in my opinion. Got to watch out for the 401k for retirement and extra insurance and all of that blah blah blah shit. I am always trying to acheive more and running at 150% to do it. It can be draining at times but hopefully it will help secure my future. Money is not life.........but without money life can really f$#$% suck.

And just for the record, I get along with my family fine. It's just that MY money my parents money are different. I'm fortunate enough to have them pay for college, but I buy everything else. Where I live the parents pump their kids full of money and it's just SICK. I don't understand how parents can buy their 15 year-old daughters a $150 pair of boots that will be worn for a few weeks. I don't understand how on your 16th birthday you can get pissed off because your parents bought you a BRAND NEW black Lamborghini... and you wanted a red one. It's sick, it's unhealthy, it's wrong, and it gives those kids a false illusion of what the real world is like. |

I agree. Right now, my mother is loaded. Growing up in Northern Virginia, it was difficult. When my parents split when I was 6, my mother hadn't completed college and she was working as a geneologist (one that researches family lines) for an incredibly low amount of money.
But, to insure our futures, she went back to college, picked up a couple extra jobs, and worked her ass of for the following ten years while doing all she could to protect my sister and I from our father. Now in NOVA, it's always been made up of glass houses. Rich families with no problems in their lives like you see on TV. So I was ridiculed daily about not having a lunch and my parents being divorced. But now, those kids are all drug addicts that don't appreciate anything living in their parents homes with no education. My mother taught me to take care of myself and the ones I care for, and I wouldn't trade that for anything. So, sadly, she gives me no money :P, but at least I know how to earn my own. |

Wow one TV I think that could kill me. I can't just watch TV, my brain needs more going on at a time so i usually play computer games or do homework or make food at the same time so I have one stationed at every important part of the house (except the bathroom).

Well I don't know what is considered poor. I always had food on the table, clothes and other needs. Yes I lived in apartments but I don't think we were ever poor. Now we are better. I live in a $400,000 house, with 4 bedrooms, 3 and half bath and one acre lot, oh yeah and pool but I don't considered myself rich since my family is working their ass off to pay for what we have. I help my dad pay for some bills every once in a while
btw 3 laptops and 3 desktops A 2000 Jeep and a 2005 Chevy Silverado, 2 dirt bikes, and I had jet ski but we sold it.

Also, keep in mind please, this was the only time we've asked for money at the door. It was 5 dollars a head to get in and we usually have about 30-50 people come out for the Halloween party every year. No, it didn't pay for itself, but the point was that it was fun and we've been wanting to do it again. Just reallllly expensive. |
