"This timing mechanism can prevent young people from becoming addicted to online games," Kou Xiaowei, Deputy Director of the Audiovisual and Internet Publication Department of the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP), said during a press conference
Did any one else realise how long that guy's title is?

If America tried that...

Let's just say that the sociopaths (|_337 |-|4x0rz) will mobilize. Not to mention the other Userbase will prolly throw a monumental fit.

They'd just run their own servers. Which they're doing already, actually.

There'd be a crack for it within the day of its implementation.

I think one of the reasons they might be doing this is because of when some Chinese (Korean?) guy(person X) borrowed another guys (person Y's) sword on a MMORPG and never gave it back..

so person Y found out person X's address, and went round and killed him

nope i'm not making that up, and yes i'm aware that was confusing!

We can easily shorten this to Kou Xiaowei, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Truth.

Also again: Didn't China break the golden rule of communism (Individuals can't own property or businesses) by allowing people to own businesses recently? It's like, they've been communist for so long that admitting that capitalism works and admitting that their country is moving towards it would be way too embarrasing.

Edit: Wooty! Post # 200!

Obviously she would change it as follows:

Instead of covering MMORPGs, it'd cover all games, as well as general internet use.
Instead of three hours, it'd be two.
Instead of a five hour wait, it'd be twenty-four hours.
Instead of nerfing your stats, it would cut off all power to your house.
Instead of passing and being praised by politicians, Hillary will be mocked derisively and thrown out of the Senate.
Yea she is probably scribbling it down right now. So is Joe Liberman.

Yea, that's f'ing ridiculous. People(hackers) of China, UNITE. Unbelievable. This will just lead to piracy in the game server infrastructure. The hardcore players will continue playing as much as they want, and the casual gamers will continue playing as they want. Nothing changes, just rearranges. . . Err.
