I think people are misinterpreting the use of this plugin. This plugin isn't meant to make game play easier for everyone, it isn't made to solve every possible problem for clan-play servers. It's merely an idea to help resolve some of the more common issues that these players run into. The idea behind it is to make their play more enjoyable. Other features can be added, for instance the playing of a wav file that explains the server rules, when the players connect. If this aleivates a good amount of their problems, what's the harm?
BTW, with or without FF on, I believe it would be possible make recipricol damage occur if Offense attack Offense. Scuzzy

I think the idea is a good start, but what needs to be adressed is before they enter the game, I had mentioned in the beta forums, possibly making it ask you after you choose your class, whether your intending to paly offense or defense, next to those choices an image would show up. if u put ur mouse over offense, a picutre of a scout running with the flag, (the concept art from a while bacK) and of its defense, its a soldier standing next to the flag.
the difference between TF2 and FF is, TF2 puts the objective in your face. its easy because its OvO 24/7 in most levels. FF has OvD, which people cant truly get organized in because everyone wants to freelance and there is not a common goal the entire team shares. |

I think it's a terrible idea and is way more trouble then what (very) little it would help is worth.

If you have a problem with people shooting you in the middle of the map shoot them back. If they do it all the time report them for pot-shotting. Not that hard and if you are still mad they are doing it stop playing the game. |

I've never played in clan matches, I don't know the rules for clan matches. My rudementary understanding was that if the flag left your base it's gone. Apparently that's not the case, I'm sure that something else could be figured out. Just post what a standard clanner server's rules are....

That's it (besides class restrictions). See here for the rules used in pickups. The whole notion of "once the flag has left your base, it's gone" is only enforced because it is usually beneficial for your team to reset its defense instead of chasing a flagholder and getting back into position late (chasing could, and usually does, allow another flag out of the base). It's not a rule, it's a strategy.
