Boycott Absolut Vodka - Page 2

There are more important things to get pissed off over than a stupid ad.

In fact, while I generaly don't put too much thought into my choice in vodka I think I'm going to exclusively buy Absolut to help offset the childishness of this concept.

Poeple get way too uptight over things. People in Europoea should understand that there is a lot of tension in the southwest of the us with mexico. On both sides. However that shit is funny. It would be like me drawing a picture of the german territories circa 1942 and having a bottle of Absoolute there with the slogan "If we had just a little more time..." geared to the German population.

But then it would be illegal to view this site in Germany...

Is it stupid that a Vodka company would suggest that their ideal, as a Vodka company, would be for Mexico to still own the southwestern United States? Sure.

Is it patently ridiculous that a grown man would be offended by a Vodka company that suggests their ideal, as a Vodka company, would be for his home state to still be owned by those damned dirty Mexicans? Yes. Yes it is.

It's just amazing how offended you are by this. Like the very suggestion that your home could be under Mexican control - and considering the influx of immigrants, it might be - is so offensive that you're going to boycott a product you probably never even used.

It's a stupid advertisement but it's hardly worth getting up in arms about.
