Why doesn't Steam just have a button to show Steam ID and aliases? Friends treats the Steam ID like its your fuckin' social security number. -.-

Which is funny because I've seen several source engine servers that post your STEAM-ID while connecting... Player <blah> Connected (Steam-ID: XX......)

Ya it's a source mod plugin that does that. It could show IP if you enable it as well.

How do I use that tool? I looked at the src file for a persons profile, but where do I find the digits? Is it the end of the URL that I use? If so, that didn't work.

Someone attempted to phish me my first night on Steam. I reported it to Steam's customer support, and I have yet to be phished since.

i love this nerd drama

But, i thought FYC was created to make sure all of this stuff doesnt happen. i thought it was "fuck yo couch, lets frag some people". It looks like stryder is innocent (im 100 percent from the outside, i dont even have FF downloaded), and maybe someone infiltrated HIS account, and he should contact valve if he suspects it. this is just my personal thoughts, and i do agree that all phishers should be banned, but stryder doesnt seem like that type of player, personally.
