In all seriousness though, there's only that much truth in statments like "it's not really a drug" "it's not addictive" or "it can't fuck you up like the other drugs". Truth is that it is and it can fuck you up if you abuse it at a very young age like before 16/17.
13-18 is the age where you don't really want to mess with your mind unless it's obvious to you that you'll turn out to be a fuck up anyway . In most cases it also leads to stuff like MDMA (xtasy) and acid (LSD).
MDMA will make you an unreliable self lieing whining little bitch or an impulsive-mad ass-crazy little chav that will end up in a car accident bahaha. Acid, if you gonna use it before your personality "formed up"... well lets just say it won't form up

All that said, if i had the choice to pick between the internet and weed when i was a kid i'd still pick the weed. And when i'm gonna have kids i won't give them access to internet untill they grown up a bit. Or else they're gonna end up like Darkness hahaha. I'm gonna make them read books about pirates, ninjas and Winston Churchill. Having wild imagination is the secret to success. Look at Leonardo da Vinci

EDIT: the new smileys suck donkey ass

My mate was on a joint a day at one point, reasonable strength. He had to stop because he lost all ability to learn in school..like completely. He was 18 at the time.

I don't do it any more, haven't for years. The truth is not some crap about the government; we're allowed to drink, which doesn't make us productive. You could equally say the people in favour of MJ want it to numb the masses and stop them thinking about politics. Half-baked pseudo-sociology (itself a pseudoscience) will only give you random prejudices and uninformed opinions.

The point is that we're so unsure about its effects, so the government are very wise to drag their heels. It's better for them to be too careful (and have a few people use it if they want) than not careful enough (and potentially have a big problem if it turns out to be harmful).

Well those who want to smoke will smoke anyway. The government doesn't really scare you out of it. Those who don't want won't smoke even if it was legal. All they do is make you a criminal and smoke low quality shit.
As for alcohol you can't really compare the two becouse you have to be stupid to drink on daily basis. There are many stupid ppl in the world but i have yet to see someone to come school drunk more then ones.. I think that's what scares the government, you can smoke weed anytime anywhere.
