Holly Moses, nigga i can't belive you did that! that's some Hi-Fi shit.
the good news are that their sound is just going to improve with time. the "bad" news is that those cans are a 250 Ohm Impidance. you'll need a Headphone Amplifiere to do them justice (not just becouse of the impedance, all hi-fi phones "need" an amp). the best cheapest that i know off would be the Go Vibe 5 http://www.go-vibe-headphoneamp.com/ alternatively you could just run them through any reciever you have.. |

god damn this post... I was reading through the list you provided and decided to explore the site... then spent hours reading reviews and checking prices all over the goddamn internet and bought a set of Sennheister HD-555s, reviewd at the site you linked http://www.headphone.com/guide/by-he...ser-hd-555.php
there goes my hard earned $100 for a pair of headphones... I hope they sound as delicious as the reviews... |

i'll be getting a pair of DT770Ms soon. they dont go quite as high, but i need the extra isolation and SPL levels for recording with guitar amps in the room. the fender amp i have is fucking loud! i cant hear my mix over it.

i dont see why you would. headphone amps are used mainly for critical listening and for powering multiple pairs of headphones in a studio. the only other use is for audiophiles. there you ask yourself "am i an audiophile?"

it'd be volume and umm bunch of a few other crazy shits you don't wonna get yourself into and frankly, i'v not much clue abouts
lols you won't need an amp but rebo probably will have some trouble getting the most out of his cans without atleast a small Do-It-Yourself amp. or better if money is not an issue. same goes to you but the HD-555 is a 50 ohm impadence can. you won't have that much trouble to drive them without an amp. |

um, to be fair, i bet that amp looks better than it sounds. headphone amplifiers on the audiophile market do next to fuck all.

Neither of which are 5.1 surround headphones which the Medusa's are. I was a little dissapointed with the Medusa cans but I have high expectations. For the price and the fact that they're 5.1, thumbs up for me. V. |

ears aren't 5.1 either. theyre stereophonic. full surround is possible with a binaural setup (that fingerclicking recording, anyone?) but how it works is another thing.
