Blister how do u put that camera stuff in your maps, before choosing a team , a kinda of camera goes around the map, how u do that .o

you create a path_mapguide entity...
the method to creating your guide is very similar to env_laser and their connections. Make your first one, path_mapguide, name it 1 and on next mapguide target put 2. Create another path_mapguide somewhere and name it 2 on next mapguide target put 3....and so on. Whatever trail you make will be the guide for the map.

i like the map...little different from the TFC version (which isnt bad)...i need to play it a little more but it really seems more like a DMing map for offense...maybe 1 scout but who knows maybe u can just rape it up with only scouts...(but I doubt it with a solid defense)

ty for the info : ) about the camera.
Its a good map, kinda complicated to the offie, for sure not a all scout offie map, wich is good. The only thing i dont like is the stairs that kinda facilitate things. But for sure one of the best maps arounds atm. |

Sorry to be an ass but am I the ONLY guy who really doesnt like this remake?
Some good changes like the bottom enterence being wider, but that colour sheme hurts my eyes and the lighting needs work, ambient seems to high and its just not a nice looking map, like the red lights in fr just dont light up well.. Just somerhing about it in my eyes needs work but I do have high standards. My opinion fair enough. Played OK but whats with the missing 3bag grenbag?? Didnt like the area near top resup felt enclosed, but again that could just be colours and stuff. The colours just dont flow feels too contrasting. I dont want to come across badly in this, and I was really excited to see a remake but I guess got a little bit disappointed that it didnt seem as nice as I thought someone could make it.. colours and lighting colours and lighting. thats all i'm saying.. sorry for the bad post but I hope you might atleast respect my thoughts. Thanks for making it and its not like I wont play it but its not in my top list - if you bring out new lit and textured version I'll be happy lol |

Just to show both sides of the coin, I think this is one of the best looking maps in FF. The front entrance is AMAZING, and the lighting/textures inside the base are fantastic. The water entrance looks rushed and the yard looks a bit square, but the rest of the map has some of the best texturing/lighting/architecture in any FF map thus far.

Yeah Elmo the style in my 3 FF maps seems like a love it or hate it kind of thing, let's just leave it at that it's different to the usual FF maps. To me, personally, 90% of FF maps have the same 6 textures used over and over with bland lighting and uninteresting architecture.
ps: if you look at my maps for other mods you'll see lighting is toned down a lot, but for FF you have to make it overall more bright for visibility reasons. |
