I went on a Jack Johnson bender here of late...inspired me to buy acoustic guitars for my son and I for Christmas (I used to play in my teen years). You might consider sampling Food for Feet if those appeal to you. The founders were members of Oingo Boingo and the sound is definitely different from OB.

I checked out this band (Cradle of Filth) on youtube and saw they had a cover for Maiden. I thought that was pretty cool until I watched it and realized it was the worst cover I've ever heard.
