I'd still argue that Advent Children remains the only movie ever made based on a video game. Everything else was a failed attempt, although they may be entertaining sometimes.

Advent Children would be entirely uninteligable if you hadn't spent 50+ hours playing through FF VII, but that's ok. For those of us who have, it's a dream come true. For those who haven't, well, no one is forcing you to see the movie, I suppose. Unless you're one of my 'irl' friends. I force them into lots of stuff.

I think more movies based on games (and vice versa) should be structured as sequels instead of remakes. I guess this isn't any sort of guarantee because that Matrix game was awful.

Against my expectations, it was pretty okay movie. I like how they took that typical romance stereotype in movies, pissed on it, then made it look good. It was almost a spoof of the crap we typically see in movies.

The only thing they pissed on was the plotline. It was so hard to follow it was a joke. And not in the "complex" way, more of the "random thoughts and scenes" way.

man, i've played and beaten the hitman series upto blood money as many ways as i could possibly think of; i even got the "silent killer" status for all missions on hitman 2 and got all the weapons

this movie doesn't reflect the main aspect of the hitman series at all: stealth; i was expecting to see the camera go into 3rd person mode and follow 22 around, sort of like how in the doom movie, it went into 1st person mode; i even thought i might see him disguise himself and everytime he would walk next to someone, they would give him the funny side-ways look similar to the game; or the lock picking; the movie didn't even include the all-too-reknown "stealth" music that the game series has everytime hitman has to sneak around; but nope, didn't see the key factors that makes hitman the game the awsome game it is in the movie at all; i wonder if the writer and director even played the hitman series

I'm pissed off that the movie doesn't have Jesper Kyd music in it. At least I think it doesn't...
