I think you'll find most people go against things because of a lack of knowledge. In this case, many people (including myself) were against 2.0 because the information provided about it seemed like it was heading in a poor direction.

As collective knowledge grows, people begin to formulate accurate opinions on how they will enjoy something.

BTW, I planned to release last week but the HW system I made didn't work as well as I'd hoped, so I've just wrote a new one which hopefully should work much better. Also decs has made an awesome model for the jump pad. So yeah few more days of testing this HW thing and then we're done. (I think!) All other features and ideas are being held off for 2.1.
