its not as though every single FF map won't have ladders...from what i've seen its just epicentre that doesnt use them...

so what does it really matter? shoot people on ladders on all the other maps and you'll be sweet!

Donnys epicenter bughunt.
This report will have lots and lots of images for your viewing pleasure. So please take your time.

first bug I noticed was in team spawn room.
When you got close enough the lamp you could see that the sprites were balls and they werent even added so that they are symmetric.
http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/468...rb100021zo.jpg

After that I went outside because I also wanted to see how awsome this map was done, and I have to say it looks great! But I noticed some issues with the textures on 2 places. If you move your head, you see another texture and when you move it a bit right you see that the texture flashes to another, se there is 2 textures over eachother. Hard to spot in screenshots but they burn your eyes ingame :P
Place 1
http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/368...rb100001ma.jpg
http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/422...rb100017gl.jpg
Place 2
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/962...rb100120ok.jpg
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/250...rb100139ac.jpg

Then I noticed that you have physic object here. If you ask me they are bad. You can block doors and stuff with them (Though I tried to block door with it and I couldnt )
http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/666...rb100047dp.jpg

After that I noticed decal issue near the APC just other side of the fence.
http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/646...rb100089kb.jpg

Now let's go back to that spawn room shall we;
There is that broken light there. I think you should make it not to make collisons or better idea, cover it with playerclip texture. Cause if you go on it and do things right your head pops trough the cealing like this:
http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/552...rb100036or.jpg
Also there is that big rubble there. You should cover that too with playerclip while you are at it and something that blocks the physics see;
It makes fun of hl2 physics http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/354...rb100100tt.jpg
And it can eat a man inside it. http://img60.imageshack.us/img60/297...rb100116ku.jpg

But heeeyyy! It's not over until fat lady sigs or I say it is :P
Well it kind of was, cause my lovely bughuntermodel got stuck in your rubbles next to the spawns under the catwalk. http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/952...rb100148ao.jpg
I think I caught the biggest bugs you have there atm. It's cool map ginger. The stairs look good and I think they will work better than the ladders

Awsome map.

Just spotted this had popped back up, been a long time since I opened up the file so I'll try to remember whether I fixed all of the points you made.

Sprites were removed from the lamps iirc and the textures flashing have been fixed. I don't think having two tyres being blasted around the map should be much of a problem, they will probably end up in a corner somewhere.

Definately need to clip the ceilings off and probably some of the rubble as well.

Spot on. Absolutely perfect remake. Works well on my shitty PC also. Well done. First person I think to have made a map for FF that will actually play like a decent TFC map.

I just played this map and I gotta say it's pretty kickass.

...except for the whole ladder thing. I gotta say that I think ladders would be a FAR better choice for many of the spots in this map (although not necessarily all). Many of the stairs are much slower than ladders and I get stuck on others. I don't know why people say you can only move up or down ladders either. You can also move side to side and jump away from the ladder, if you want. Also, model animations aside, ladders look pretty nifty if you use a prop like one of these:

http://www.superjer.com/nezumi/ladder.jpg

All this and the bugs gone over already aside, the map is stunning. When I first walked out of the lower red spawn door and saw that corridor with all the rubble and the sun looking exactly like the original, I had to go lay down for a few minutes.

Bump!

After playing this map on the community server, seems I have a little bit of work to do!

I've had b2 sitting on my PC for ages, I'd best dig it out and touch it up. I'll release it sharpish and we can test it on there.

In TFC, it was easy to jump across the following gap:

However, in the ff version beta1, it's not possible:

If there is a reason for this, ignore meh

It might be possible on FF, but not on HL2Dm.
Dunno though.

Well FF's walking speed will be faster than it is in HL2, and then with bhopping added onto that, you will most probably be able to jump it.

Anyway, just how far do you miss the opposite side by? And can you jump it when using sprint?

You can jump over it without using sprint or bunnyhopping.

(I've just tried)

I couldn't jump over it in my version, but you can by miles with sprint.

Own3r: I agree with slides 1 through 4 and 6 through 10, but as for the concing adjustments, Ginger Lord doesn't need to make the map perfect for concing. I personally think this map rocks, and I would be excited about there being slight differences between the new and the old. Plus itd look funny to have players walking on air just so they could get good concage.

Keep up the good work, Ginger Lord, and welcome back
