Man how bitching would it be if we went back to carrying swords around all the time? Have some fuckin' duels.

Swords are definitely different then guns.
You can't parry a bullet. |

Close Combat is where it is at, long ranged weapons are for pussies who dont like enemies that fight back. I hope we enter the dark ages and have to use swords and stuff again.

A terrorist stands up from his seat and pulls a knife screaming in an incoherent language. Half the cabine travellers unshieves their handguns and open fire Ta ta ta ta ta. One dead terrorsist, a swisscheese cabin, A-oops decompression, we're losing pressure. May day we're going down. End of story. I realize well at least hope you were being sarcastic. There is a reason why guns shouldn't be on airplanes. |

That's where the problem arise. Because it's not only the law abiding citizens who have the firearms. When we speak (we meaning the majority; I believe only a select few, who have already stated so, believe in absolute abolishment) of gun control or regulation, we're not talking about the banishment or absolute abolishment of firearms. Of course we want our law abiding citizen to have the right to purchase firefarms for recreational use, collecting, or last resort selfdefence. The problem is that it's not only those law abiding citizens who are recieving those firearms. There aren't enough restrictions to lessen the amount of firearms ending up in the hands of criminals. As for the plane example, see Cruors post. |

Well, you wouldn't die from the swiss cheese airplane. Not unless there were lots of holes- the thing would fall apart! But surely, people would die from the crossfire.
Hey, how did people get labeled as terrorists anyway? It seems now to be synonymous with brown skinned, turban wielding immigrants. Pfffft. "Shooting". The kid let off a single bullet, and they call it a shooting. More like, "Fuck up" mmkthxbai. And they're relating it to the Columbine incident because of a green trenchcoat. A t-shirt with holes for the eyes. God man, you could've used a fucking do-rag. Or tied it around your face. Man, that would've looked dumb. Turning the corner and seeing Captain fucking Underpants in a trenchcoat that dragged along the floor because the kid was too short. K, pussies. Any hoot, y'all go back to your swords. I've got a store set up in the local market. As for me, I'll just throw rocks. |

Uber, laws only affect the law abiding in detering behavior in advance. A criminal or mentally ill person is going to what they're going to do with little or no consideration for the "legal consequences". That's why "bans" typically only interfere with those who would follow the law anyway. As I have stated before...make the penalties extremely harsh for misconduct or willful abuse that way. Yeah, more prisons...so what?

I was not one of those people. :P Though, I do like the old school ones- not the ones with draw weights. Those are pretty neat. |
