Is it me, or can you not find the L4D demo on the Steam store?

I can't seem to find it. My buddy wants to buy it hardcore, but I insist that he test it with a demo on his low power comp before actually going ahead and wasting the money on a game he might not even be able to play.

for some ecpically retarded reason, valve disabled the demo when the real game launched. i bet you coul "aquire" the demo from "places", however

Well that's fucking retarded. Letting people try the game beforehand is the whole point of a goddamned demo.

Just set a timelimit on it like popcap does for like 1 hour.

Why do you think I only got 5 minutes out of the demo? Hell, I didn't even get to play it as long as it took me to DL it!

It's still on my computer, listed as "pre-loaded".... yet when I bought the game yesterday, I had to DL the whole thing.

I grabbed it this weekend while it was on sale. Been playing it with a few friends locally all night, lots of screaming going on.

I'd like the opinion of others.... but is this game kinda cheezy as single player, but fun as fuck doing the multiplayer thing?

If so, this game = sex.

It just needs more levels for verse.. I don't understand why you cant play the other two campaigns on it.
