I bought a six pack (of Dew) to continue watching this . And Innoc, the thing is, many churches these days don't care either. They just want the money and paperwork. Is it wrong and sad? Yes. Does it happen? Yes.

I still don't understand who's arguing about what. This thread makes zero sense. Besides the first page, was there any real discussion of same-sex marriage?

The problem isn't so much that Scuzzy is stupid and closeminded - more that he's incredibly bad at communicating.

I've made that perfectly clear, it's a fact. Find me a couple current requirements for a Marriage License in the United States that defines love and how it must be fulfilled within a marriage contract.

Can civil marriages have love? YES, DUH. Do most of them occur because two people are in love? OBVIOUSLY, DUH. That isn't what I was arguing.

Which state requires sex in marriage? Nothing, absolutely NOTHING I have said pertains to sex and marriage.

Read the entire thread iggy, page 2, post #27. I have also stated that people against polygamy are exactly like people against homosexual marriage, are they not both discrimination and forcing a persons morals upon others?

Scuzzy
Find me a religeon that requires love before you can get married. I think we can safely say that you are not going to marry someone you hate at that moment(*although, before too long, you may end up hating them...but that's where divorse comes in.)

As for sex and marriage....the two kinda go together....why else do you hear people yelling "DON'T HAVE SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE!!! Or are we leaving morals out of this? Also, withholding sex is a legitimate ground for divorse(pay attention class)! As I stated, anulments(fuck you Noah Webster, just fuck you!) can be aquired speedilly if the "newly married couple" have not "CONSUMATED" the marriage....(that means, if they didn't fuck) You can have that shit wiped out in a day or three.

I have read the thread...however, I am not going to keep a scorecard on who said what. You keep repeating yourself enough that I know where you stand. However, if you want to argue about Poligamy, make a thread about it. It is NOT in this particular discussion.

Also, a Marriage Liscense is easy to get...at least in MD. Show your ID, answer 3 or 4 simple questions, hand over $30, and voila! You have a marriage liscense. After having it for 48 hours, you can actually use it(I am guessing this is to keep those 5-minute Las Vegas style intoxicated weddings from happening).

So....to ask you a question: What exactly do you have against two people who love each other, even if they are the same gender, getting married?

Find me a reason as to why that is at all relevant to anything worth discussing.

I'll also ask Scuzzy your question, although if I recall correctly, he hasn't stated that he is against same-sex marriage. I think we all assumed that he is (even though it is most probably true). So far he has explained that we are in no position to defend the rights of same-sex couples if we don't also defend the rights of polygamists. Personally, that is absolutely ludicrous for the reasons halo stated (as to why polygamy should be illegal). But, nevertheless:

Scuzzy, what is your position on same-sex marriage?

That's certainly a part of it but he probably averages about four quotes per post. All of which he's arguing with. Somebdy said his point was 'ludicrous' earlier it struck me as very true. Ludicrous from 'Ludus' meaning game-like.
It seems to all be a game to him. He likes bickering, hence being an armchair expert on everything. That's why I class him as a troll.

More of an observation. You're not even being unreasonable in this thread; you're just utterly incapable of making yourself understood. Your basic point is a reasonable one but you have no idea how to structure a logical argument and the quality of your written communication is so poor as to render most of your posts unintelligble at first reading.

Don't shoot the messenger! Maybe you should take some evening classes or something?

Also, you don't need to type "Scuzzy" at the end of every post. Your name appears in the sidebar at the left. If you really want "Scuzzy" at the bottom of each post then you can set a signature in your profile.

quotes for emphasis

Must say however; that I feel that forums are sometimes to slow for good discussing; especially when people tend to involve all kind of different aspects at once. I do — as previously said in this thread — get the feeling that this is to Scuzzy all a game, or that het gets a kick out of “thinking” he knows things better and trying to get his “right” (oh and I might be wrong here, but this is how it looks to me) out of everything. Perhaps this is the reason that I sometimes tend to be more provoking since discussing someting based on rational arguments seems to me rather impossible .
