Vapour-mayby we can use this for FF?..
Hey I was reading The Snarkpit's front page and I found a little something on this program called. its basicly a 3rd party Steam:
Vapour is an automated content delivery system for games. Basically, this project is like Steam except now third-party modifications are in control. Vapour will allow you to download mods and maps for Half Life 2 and many other games at very fast rate. You can download a 140 MB Modification in less than 5 minutes through our very fast content servers without any wait or queues and without having to pay. So if you want to play your favorite map or mod in a fast and efficient environment, where you can download updates easily, where you can get support if you run into any problems easily and very fast then Vapour is for you! It can be found at http://www.vapour-online.com/ |

Heh, if it's faster than steam then valve is going to have an anal hemorrhage over it...
But I'm gonna throw 'em money if they need it just for the irony of it. Simply beautiful. Edit: I looked at their forums and they have a bit to do before a finalized copy. But the download does say 'beta'. So be warned. |
