League - Upcoming Changes

Hi everyone,

As some of you may know, RAK will be disbanding at the end of the month. My understanding is they intended only to play for the summer, and with summer ending it's time for them to move on. However, there may be a few players from RAK that wish to continue to play on other teams, so keep an eye out for them.

Without RAK, that leaves the league with 10 teams spread over three divisions. The way I see it, three teams simply aren't enough to sustain a division, so barring any miraculous appearances of new teams, the best move is to return to two divisions - Platinum and Silver - at the end of the month.

I am open to suggestions on the issue, but mainly I'm interested in your thoughts on how the divisions should be split and which Gold teams should be relegated to Platinum and which to Silver. The decision on which Gold teams go where will be greatly influenced by their performance in Gold this week and in the coming weeks.

Based on the relative skills of the teams, I think a 4-6 or 5-5 Platinum-Silver split would be best. Please vote on which split you think is best and post suggestions and comments on the changes below.

Thanks.

5 and 5, have one cross division game a week so there aren't BYEs and so Silver teams can practice playing Plat teams once in a while

I like the 3 division idea because it adds some middle ground and adds more incentive for teams to win so if they know they'll never make it to plat, they can at least strive for gold. I think more focus should be put on trying to recruit people to play in the league. I've told many people about it in pubs and some seem to be interested but just don't know where to begin or don't have the leadership to start their own team.

In all honesty with a 10 clan league there should be NO divisions, I just know that FFers don't take beatings gracefully like teams in TFC did. Three is totally ridiculous
