Autoteam Balance needed
After playing some rounds I really got annoyed by people leaving/joining all the time. Playernumbers of each team were constantly changing and most of the games one team had ~3players less than the other.
I think an autoteambalance feature would lead to much more enjoyable rounds. I give an example of how they handle that on the game Natural Selection 2: You can only join a Team which has equal or less players. If somehow a player drops and the difference of playernumbers is higher than 1, dead players will have to wait for the respawn to have an even count for each team. In my opinion this would give a big impact of keeping players (especially new ones) at this wonderful game. |

On Drippy-'s(TFC server), the team autobalance works this way:
You can only join a team with fewer players(unless teams are even). If, for example, two people leave from Red, the LAST player to join Blue, will be auto-switched after 30 seconds, if no one joins Red within that time. It's fairly balanced, and I'm so used to it, I don't even notice when it happens.

That's probably the best way to go about it. I'll see if I can contact Rookie to see if he is willing to work on something like that. In the meantime, we at least have the team stack prevention part of that which we can hopefully get released as a default server script. The main issue I think comes from maps where it is advantageous to stack the teams, such as with skill maps or escape maps. So it would need to be coded to work only with certain game types like CTF, AVD, IVD.
