Need a BMS model edited, help pl0x!?
I found a rocket model in BMS that I would like to use in the map I'm working on, however the rocket is attached to a tram car. I really need just the stand-alone rocket, is there anyone who might be able to take out the tram for me?

I would assume you need to setup hammer for BMS first, that way you can see the included file names for the rocket. I'm not sure if the GCF files are able to be ripped since everything is now using Steam Pipe, but here's a tutorial to get started:
http://forums.blackmesasource.com/sh...ighlight=guide Their EULA is pretty clear about the use of their assets in other mods, but for a custom map, I don't think anyone there would even notice using their rocket in your map. Though it might be cool to credit them somewhere once you are done. Here's a recent article that talks about the BMS team releasing some assets along with their retail release to Steam: http://games.on.net/2013/11/black-me...nt-with-valve/ Other than that, the only way I know to get the models/textures from a specific game is through GCFScape. |

It's not that I need to find the model file, it's that the model itself is exactly what I need other than the fact that it's not a rocket by itself.

Oh, I thought it might have a separate one for the tram car. hmm. you'd probably have to open it up in a 3d modelling program and edit out that car.
