Hey guys,

Not sure if anybody remembers me but I was very active in the TFC community for about 7 years (~2000-~2007)

...I was in a clan called [R4L], some concing guilds like +M|M+, and all around just played all aspects of the game...

Me and a guy named RaXoR put out an .avi called Transcend (

) along with Graffix and Necro

I decided to kinda try to delve back into this fortress forever community in hopes that a surge of players may have come back, but it's looking kind of slow and unpopular.

My question to you, the community, is:

Does anybody still play? Are there any notable clans/leagues/groups/guilds that still get together on any sort of regular schedule? Is there any hope for this old TFC/FF community to get back together at all?

I'd love to lead the force of a resurgence of this game...

I hope to hear from some of you guys!

Hey, glad you've decided to check back in. The pubs usually run daily starting around 4-5pm est running to about 12 or so.

We play pickups every day and we are currently running a 4v league. And there's talks of a couple more leagues in the works. Some of us didn't get organized soon enough for this league, so hopefully if more do come there will be even more teams, as there's certainly a lot of left over players at the moment.

People are always popping back in from time to time, so stick around and play some pickups with us. I'm certain we'll be seeing more soon.

also if your looking for conc maps find fpsmotto/kubedawg he love conc maps.

FDA_, is IRC still a thing? is there any kind of e-gathering spot where players still meet up?

Yes. We run pickups through #ff.pickup on quakenet.

Great - silly question, but I completely forgot how to use IRC lol...I just downloaded it - can you give me a brief walkthrough of how to specifiy quakenet as my server? I seem to remember gamesurge being the server that everybody used back in the day...any usage on that at all?

Or just don't download an IRC app and instead go to http://webchat.quakenet.org/

Then type in whatever username you want, and for the channel, type: #ff.pickup

Played my first pickup yesterday (and we won!)

Felt good...looking forward to being acclimated with the community and getting to know everyone again!
