Dedicated server hosting
So I'm in need of a US based dedicated server to host an eCommerce website and multiple small websites (like 100+ small content-driven websites eventually).
I'm not streaming any video or anything like that, so the bandwidth limit doesn't need to be insane. I need at least 8gb, 16gb preferable, multiple IP addresses if possible, and cpanel or directadmin. I have no clue where to begin. Rackspace is too high end and expensive from what I can gather. It's so difficult to sift through the noise.. I've tried looking at all the postings on www.webhostingtalk.com 's dedicated server hosting sub-forum. It seems like the cheaper options nickel and dime for every option that isn't listed. Has anyone personally worked with any hosting companies or know where to find the best values? |

AWS... They have a free hosting package. Start with all their free stuff, watch your usage. If you need more, you can upgrade to their paid packages. Very cheap, very reliable & highly scalable.

Depending on your region you might find better pricing. Amazon Web Services offers a lot of different options that you can read on their website http://aws.amazon.com/business-applications/ as absolute said. I'm sure there are technology parks near you that might be able to offer something better, but it depends on the needs and where you live.
