Your drink of choice? - Page 2

I've become quite fond of good Tequila of late. I favor Anejo and will drink Resposado in a pinch. The brands I prefer are Don Julio and Cazadores. Sometimes with beer but mostly without. Aging does really good things to a quality tequila! I was in Cancun last month and found a number of local brands while at the resort that I really liked...but can't remember any of the names.

I also like a good Russian Vodka now and then or a Spiced Rum...but Tequila first and foremost.

Actually, it's a great balance, when mixed right. The cinnamon adds a "tartness" to take the edge off of the sweetness of the Mountain Dew.

I'm getting some tomorrow(payday).... and I'll post pictures with the correct ratios once I get the taste right.

I do like a good scotch now and then. My favorite has to be Dalwhinnie (15 yr.) Very smooth finish, not harsh at all and has almost a hint of a cream soda flavor.

Honorable mentions go to:

Laphroaig (very peaty)
Oban if you like a good smoky scotch
and the usual Glenlivit and Glenfidditch (both make a good 12 yr.)

Out of all the hard liquor, I think I've finally settled on rum being my favorite. It goes with just about anything.
