Supershotgun
What would I have to do to get it to use the old cocking animation instead of the lame one used now?

The animation didn't really change at all; it only was sped up a bit to fit with the firing rate (so the end of the animation doesn't get cut-off). The sound did change, though.

You used to cock it across your body, now you just pump it back without moving its position.
I ended up downloading 2.41 full and using the model. |

If you watch this Potm compared to my newer video you can see what he means.
Skip 29 seconds into mine for the shotgun. I like the old cocking animation WAAAAY better. Wether purposeful or not, it is much much more stylized. |

It's shorter because the old one didn't finish by the time you could shoot again. The old one is still visible after you reload.

I'm the one who changed it, so maybe you can guess how i feel.
Technically, some pump-action shotguns can fire rapidly if you hold down the trigger while pumping it. Of course, if you were doing that, you wouldn't raise the gun up and stop aiming. So yes, it's less stylized and more realistic. I have no problem with stylized or unrealistic, but I wanted an action that a person could reasonably complete in .7 seconds (the cycle time of the SSG). It's a choice I made and I'm not going to say anyone is wrong for wanting it another way. The fact that squeek didn't even notice the change says that maybe I put too much thought into these things. |

Didn't notice either however I feel its nice without the snap back (animation jump) and I'm glad we have someone on board who does think about these things Carl!
