I absolutely HATE the Zune player. I only use it still because it's the only way to get music onto my ye olde 30gb Zune brick.

I like to use the same for both video and mp3's..vlc media player..it's simple...all i want to do is adjust things slightly...music is a BIG part of my everyday life...it has to sound good.

well foobar is the best mp3 player and vlc is the best vidja player. this isnt an opinion, its a fact. i saw it in wikipedia

foobar is a useless POS.
vlc is a buggy video play with the ugliest, most unusable GUI I've ever used... and I used OOO back in beta.

Pandora is my main use of music, but I also use Google Music. If I need it locally... I use iTunes ONLY because I need it to manage a few iOS devices I have lying around...

For video, Windows Media Player (on windows 7 desk) with Shark007 or MPC and k-lite (on Windows XP or laptop if the sound needs boosting).

VLC is the heart of my whole-house linux-based audio setup. Would be near impossible without the network features.

On my PC I just use good ol` Winamp.

XMPlay, with the tiniest skin around. Unobtrusive, small footprint. Nice.

Foobar. Used to use winamp on every computer, got irritated with the long load up times and high usage of system resources. Just tried foobar recently and it's pretty nice.
