i loved the campaign mode to bits in l4d, was so much fun playing through the missions on expert with your mates. problem is i don't like versus mode at all, and thus the game has no replay value once the missions are complete. l4d2 will be great to play through, but will once again only provide limited entertainment.

If that is all you like is playing the campaign's which is all i ever did in l4d, go dl some of the custom campaign's there are a lot out there and some really nice ones too i must add. www.l4dmods.com or www.l4dmaps.com enjoy.
Oh btw if you are thinking of trying a few custom ones make sure you just dl the ones that are in VPK format all you do is drag and drop them into Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead addons folder and your set.

It's for console players. It seems that whenever I play console FPS games, a low FOV is fine. I imagine this is because I'm sitting more than a foot and a half away from my screen and my entire field of view isn't the screen. That is to say that having 90 FOV is more accurate when you're sitting a foot and a half away of a 20 some inch monitor and a 65 FOV is more accurate when you're sitting 5-6 feet away from a 50 inch T.V.

Because, Farcry 2 felt fine on my T.V. but I got sick very quickly on PC (until I changed the FOV).

Even on consoles I can't handle it, man. When I look down at something the floor shouldn't be that damn close. 'Taint natural. 'Taint right.

Looking down at the floor? On consoles?

You're crazy, you're not supposed to actually examine things. You're supposed to stare at eye level for almost the entire game.

I've actually caught myself doing that lately, running through areas in FPS games and not examining my surroundings. I left no stone unturned in HL1, HL2, hell pretty much any game I ever played until about two years ago. Now I have to force myself to stop and look around, even in situations where such activity is naturally beneficial to me (looting in Borderlands, for example). It worries me somewhat.
