is the screen shake something new, or an effect on the video? It's very disconcerting. Great shot teka. Nice presentation wakka.

the screen shake is to match the "wobble" and draw you in like OMG what's about to happen !

wakka, keep it up. Good stuff, try not to get drawn into the drama. If you have special ideas for projects and need footage, don't hesitate to post. There are many of us that would love to contribute to the right project.

Don't think I've even seen that. Not even in all the years of TFC. It's good that you did a slow mo 'cause couldn't even see it first time.

Yeah, but if he plans to use this effect "on many more shots" i think he might run into a problem with "too much slo-mo". If that's the case, paft, i think you'll see something that was abused too much in the many years of TFC.
First off very nice shot. My real concerns is the lighting effects and the usage of slo-mo in the finished product. Personally it's waaaay too broadly done. I think if you just went with specifically editing the lighting on the monkey's orbs you would have gained the "OMG whats about to happen more" because the viewer would have been able to see the play even without the help of slo-mo. The lighting effect is applied to everything floor, walls, ladder, and skybox. The killer was when the soldier pans up his fov towards the action which is right under the skybox. That lighting effect + any day-time skybox is going to washout any play captured most likely everytime. Just look at the slo-mo portion. You didn't use that light effect and you could see the play clear as day. Problems i see with your current editing style approach is again play visibility and potential to overly use slo-mo effect to recapture the plays. If you overly use slo-mo it's going to take away the flow factor that could really make any movie dope as shit. That's my two cents, take it for what it's worth. Again, nice shot mate |

Yeah, too much slow-mo is badly boring. But whatever it was, I think the video jumped? making the shot almost completely unnoticeable.

It's a single clip, the initial over effecting is to set the scene that you know it's something good and are left with "what just happened" then the slow-mo clarifies it. I would never have such effects run through an entire movie. Also it's just a bit of fun
