Looking for a comfortable gaming headset
I'm looking to purchase a new gaming headset soon since my current one is slowly dying.
Price range: $50 - $100 I've already looked at the Plantronics headsets, bought one, hated it and took it back. I also checked out Skull Candy headsets, but it looks like they only have ones that are for using them with an xbox 360. I need one for my PC. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? Btw, I don't have a large head, but I have a tall head, so I need an adjustable headset so the ear muffs go down to my ears lol. I've also checked out Turtle Beach headsets, and they seem very flimsy. It seems that any headset I find is either uncomfortable or is a piece of junk. Also, what type of good headsets are available that are wireless? |

I can't speak to wireless, but I have this pair of Sennheiser's:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106158 I've had them about 2 years and they are the most comfortable ones I've ever used. |

Those damned Fatal1ty ones from Creative are pretty sweet. Good mic reception and very comfortable.

I've made up my mind. I'm paying a little bit more for comfort, and hopefully something more durable than a Turtle Beach headset.
So I went with the steelseries 61001SS 3.5mm/ USB Circumaural 5H v2 Professional Gaming Headset http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826249016 I can't wait for it to arive. :O |

I used a Logitech USB headset. It was about 50 dollars. Very good. I ran over it with a chair like a year or two ago and the left earpiece fell off, but the wires did not. So I was using it broken for a good long time. Just last week it finally completely died. The wires protected by the (broken) plastic casing finally got screwed up, or something.

I bought my mic from a thrift store BUT it was still unopened in its package... it was like 5 bucks and it has worked about 4 times.
Nice purchase. |
