Pure Virtual Function Call
I seem to be suffering from a problem most people got over a few years ago. My Fortress Forever likes to lock up and loop the last sound over and over before crashing with a "Pure Virtual Function Call"
Doing some searching and it seems like it was a common problem a couple years ago but not anymore, is there some fix that I missed? |

While I understand that you guys are developing primarily for Windows my problem is not WINE specific. Like I said, it looks like this was a pretty major problem a year or two ago for everybody; Windows, Mac and Linux. Did it ever get solved? Is there a fix for it? Or did everyone who had the problem just stop playing? While a few of the people in that thread appear to have similar problems I didn't see any solutions.

There is no solution for Linux/wine that I know of. Now if your running Windows there might be but not for any Linux OS that I know of. Most of the crashing bugs have been fixed since FF 1.0 release.
Try this link and let steam check for conflicts. steam://support/?Issues=*

Well what was the fix for Windows? Most likely a similar one can be devised for Linux.

It is Wine-specific. Something in FF 2.3 causes a crash under Wine when you pick up ammo/supplies if you're not already at max supplies. Unless you're playing sniper. It's odd. At least, that's what happens on Ubuntu.
